Founder and owner Steven Kontak has more than 13 years experience in the hardwood flooring industry.  Steven began his career in Southwest Florida working with top interior designers and custom home builders on many oceanfront estates from Tampa Bay to South Naples.  This work offered many exciting and challenging opportunities creating one of a kind floors for each client.

While Steven loved his work in Florida, he and wife Kassandra desired a more family-friendly city to live.  In 2005, they moved to Portland where they are raising their two boys, Oliver and Finn, and enjoying the many resources and activities for families Portland has to offer.

Steven brought the same knowledge, skills and resources to the Northwest that he developed in Florida.  He is committed to providing each client, no matter the job size, a high quality result.  Whether the homeowner is looking for a standard oak flooring refinish or an exotic custom milled wood floor, Champion Hardwoods, LLC is equipped to do each successfully.  We are here to walk the homeowner, designer or contractor through the ins and outs of wood flooring to make sure each project is successful and all involved are proud of the end results.
